The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Eligibility Standards state that students must earn credit in 80% of the maximum allowable classes the previous semester in order to be eligible for competition in MSHSAA activities. For Troy R-III students, that is equivalent to 3.5 Credits per semester.
Students must have earned 3.5 credits in the previous semester, as well as be enrolled in enough classes to earn 3.5 credits in the current semester of the sport/activity in which they are participating. Part time and early graduation status could have an effect on meeting this requirement.
Students promoted, for the first time, into the 9th grade are considered academically eligible for the first semester after promotion.
