The Symphonic Band is the premiere auditioned concert ensemble at Troy Buchanan High School. Under the direction of Mr. Blankenship, the Symphonic Band performs the most challanging high school concert band literature and typically gives three concert per year.  Many members of the Symphonic Band participate in MSHSAA solos and small ensembles. Additionally, members of the Symphonic Band are encouraged to audition for and participate in the NEMMEA All-District Band and the Missouri All-State Band.  

The Concert Band is an auditioned concert ensemble at Troy Buchanan High School. Under the direction of Mr. Barchesky, the Concert Band consistently performs quality music for the ensemble and typically gives three concerts per year. Several members of the Concert Band also participate in MSHSAA solos and small ensembles and are encoraged to audition for the NEMMEA All-District Band.

The Ninth Grade Concert Band is comprised of all band students at the Troy Ninth Grade Center. Students in this ensemble focus on continued growth of musical skills as they transition to high school band and perform in four concerts per year. Members of the Ninth Grade Concert Band also participate in MSHSAA solos and small ensembles and are encoraged to audition for the NEMMEA All-District Band.
