There are two curricular jazz ensembles at Troy Buchanan High School. The Jazz Ensemble meets throughout the school year and performs regularly at school concerts, regional jazz festivals, and community events. Students in this ensemble are encouraged to audition for and participate in the NEMO All-District and All-State Jazz Ensembles. The Jazz Band meets duing the spring semester and performs at school concerts and regional jazz festivals. 

The jazz ensembles are by audition only and auditions occur in the month of April for the following school year.
